Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in the second and final Test of the series against Sri Lanka at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Bangladesh made two changes from the XI of the first Test. Spinner Naeem Hasan and pacer Shariful Islam, who were ruled out due to injuries, have been replaced by Mosaddek Hossain Saikat and Ebadat Hossain. Batting all-rounder Mosaddeq last played a Test in September 2019. Sri Lanka also made two changes in the XI. Praveen Jayabikrama and Kasun Rajitha in the Dhaka Test XI instead of Lasith Ambuldenia and Biswa Fernando.
So far, Bangladesh has played 23 Tests against Sri Lanka. 1 win. The Tigers have drawn 16 losses and 5 draws. The first Test of the series was drawn at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
